This is my first drabble for here, I hope it's all right, it's a CS/Blyton cross over... I haven't very much done of it yet and it's unbetaed so it's still changeable. Maybe. PS I'm a bit worried about relative chronologies but we'll just consider it ultra AU k? Riss/

Elizabeth Allen was in an even worse temper than she had been when she’d been told she was to go to Whyteleafe School for she had been told something immeasurably the worse – she was to leave Whyteleafe – in her final year – to go to some mad school in Switzerland.

To leave Joan, Julian, Rosemary, Patrick and even Arabella! To leave behind her horse and the garden she had had years of pride in. To go to some mad school where they wouldn’t let her ride nor even speak her native tongue more days of the week than not.

How Mummy expected her to do even passably in her finals when she’d be spending two days a week in a language she had only the barest school girl grasp on and one which she had never even attempted before…! Well, it was beyond her.

(Ed: to add thing about relative chronolgies)

Sounds interesting but do you think that if Elizabeth was moved in her final year that she would be the Nautiest Girl? Well I shall wait and see.

Ohhh I love Elizabeth! Looking forward to hearing all about her exploits!

Liane: I was thinking about that, and I think she might have some reactions Whyteleafe did a pretty good job of reform on her (not that she needed it as badly as some!) I think there might be some external factors coming into play though. We'll see. And yes it will be us, I can never plan my stories, or I always plan my stories but they never go where I want them to.Bad Characters in my head. Norty!

LizB: I love the Naughtiest Girl books; they were mt first bit of school fiction. Well other than Sadler's Wells and that's rather different.

Cazx: I wonder what a more grown up Elizabeth will do?

But, Mummy had remarried. And Theodore Weston was terribly conservative. He’d been quite scandalised at the thought of any daughter of his, even a daughter by marriage, being at “a school like Whyteleafe.” A co-ed school, why, that would have been bad enough at any age but surely now Elizabeth was getting older wouldn’t she do better at a girls’ school

Better?! Why, the Belle and the Beast had informed her at the end of her last term that they wished her for their next Head Girl. And that was an honour Elizabeth had wished for but never expected since she had first been made a monitor. Rita had made a deep impression on the little girl, which remained a force in the young woman. It was hard for Elizabeth to imagine better than that.

She and Julian had continued their reign at the top of their form, whichever they happened to be in at any given year, with Julian’s cousin Patrick very much in the mix – at least until that unfortunate accident.

Elizabeth got even angrier when she thought of Julian – she had had a letter from him just that day full of his happiness at having been made Head Boy –

Fantastic update. I can see her being rather bad now, since she was to be HG at Whyteleaf.

I always loved the Naughtiest Girl! It must be horrible to leave just when you're about to be head girl!

Thanks,

Caeli

Oh poor Elizabeth, wonder why she's so angry with Julian, who to me had the early promise of being another Gilbert-sigh!

It's not great Caeli - although I hasten to add I was not about to be HG, just a prefect/house captain...I sat back and did nothing at my new school.

I don't think she's angry with Julian - just angrier at her parents for sending her away, now that she's had a letter from him (not very tactful of him, though).

Thanks, Spherissa - any more? Please?

And prehaps Julian doesn't even know yet so the letter is full of all the things 'we'll' do as Head Boy & Head Girl...
