#1: The Greatest Gift Author: LadyGuinevere, Location: LeicesterPosted: Fri Jul 29, 2005 10:34 am Maureen Donovan glanced out of the window and gazed wistfully at the murky lake, a constant reminder of her folly in the Tirol. She could feel herself slipping away, knowing her time was near. Maureen had made her peace long ago, and now it was here the pain would be finally gone.
In her final moments, Maureen cast her mind to Jo Bettany, who had nearly given her own life to save her. Jo had given Maureen the greatest gift that day, but Maureen had nothing to offer in return. All she could do was watch over her from above.
