As she lay struggling for every breath, her hand was grasped gently and she heard that most musical of voices.
“Please....... let go, my dear. You’ve fought the good fight, it’s time to claim your crown of righteousness.”
She looked up into luminous blue-grey eyes.
Tears? For me?
“Go with our blessing, Gwynneth. I shall miss you, but Nell and I will not be far behind.” The rich voice hushed. “See, dawn is breaking ...... He is waiting......”
Something inside relaxed, and the tender voice and tear-filled eyes faded as she felt herself slowly sinking ...... into a loving embrace welcoming her home at last.

A truly beautiful piece, Mary - and that particular phrase will haunt me for a long while. I know it isn't a translation, but it put me in mind of the Greek Kontakion.
