The Chalet School Revisited is a collection of essays published by Bettany Press published in 1994 to celebrate the centenary of EBD’s birth. The introduction is by Rosemary Auchmuty and Ju Gosling, and the essays are: Helen McClelland on her search for information on EBD’s life when she was writing Behind the Chalet School and her conversations with Phyllis Matthewman. Polly Goerres on the Centenary celebrations. Sheila Ray on the Literary Context of the Chalet School series – how she was reviewed by critics, the style of the books and literary references. Ju Gosling on the Chalet School as an educational institution with comparisons to EBD’s life, real life schools and attitudes of the time. Rosemary Auchmuty on the Guides in the Chalet School, and an introduction to the Girls’ Guildry and Camp Fire. Judith Humphrey on religion in the Chalet School. Sue Sims on the series factor and what makes a book collectable. Gill Bilksi on collecting and dealing in Chalet School books. Clarissa Cridland on dustwrappers and illustrations. I read anything about or to do with the Chalet School/ Where can I get Revisited? I read Behind Chalet School and it was great. |

It's on Amazon, but it's fairly expensive so I've never ordered it. It sounds like it would be interesting - the essays seem to cover a broad range of topics. I often find it interesting to read books about the CS. |

It's slightly cheaper direct from Bettany Press - £14.99 incl postage whereas the cheapest copy on Amazon is £16 plus £2.75 posage. |
