Quote:
Russell, a 45-year-old mother of three, says parenting has changed with dramatic shifts in society, and today’s generation of first-time mothers are bringing up children with less help than ever before.

She said: "We now live in a transitional society where everyone is moving all the time, and we don’t have village communities with Auntie Jo up the road. Parents are doing their parenting on their own now.

Only three? What happened to Kevin and Kester? And how come they moved to Scotland anyway?

Do you think this woman is a Chalet fan? Randomly picking on Auntie Jo sounds too good to be cooincidental! (ANd Auntie Jo was one woman who did not lack help in bringing up her chidren)

Absolutley, and can you imagine what parenting classes a la Chalet would be like? Employ indefategable mother's help, farm out your children to family members, send them away to school.
