Hi,

I'm writing a one-off fill-in story about Mary Woodley but I can't seem to find her after the big scene in Barbara.

Does anyone know if she re-appears in a later book? If so, which one?

I have a feeling she leaves in one of the next couple of books (I've a mental image of Vi saying something along the lines of "no loss there, then"). But I haven't got my book to hand to check.

EBD has another Woodley crop up later on - there's a Marguerite Woodley who is new in New Mistress, and in the same book EBD mentions Iris Woodley - but this seems to be an EBDism for Marguerite... I'm guessing no relation to the unattractive Mary.

Really appreciate this, thank you!

I'm off to write my story now. I didn't want to commit a massive EBD-ism and have her still at the school long after she is supposed to have gone.

I noticed the Marguerite Woodley as well and thought it might be a sister.

But considering how far away they moved I doubt it now.
