Did anyone see Ned Flanders ask what all the brouhaha was about last night on the Simpsons? I nearly died laughing Laughing !

I never thought that it was exclusive to EBD - does she use it a lot? Dictionary entry for brouhaha.

My sister just now used "brouhaha" while describing life with a teenager! (No, she's never read EBD or her ilk.)

Just read the dictionary definition - thank you Roísín! I would never've guessed that that was where the word brouhaha came from - strange how words come into being sometimes!

It's funny how some words just make you think of the CS. Every time I read anything about the Trojan War/Ancient Greece that mentions the Myrmidons, I think of the CS domestic staff; and last weekend I had hysterics whilst watching a film in which Pierce Brosnan's character was talking about people being spineless jellyfish Laughing .

Brouhaha always brings EBD to mind to me, and yet I think she only used it the once?

It's my favourite CS quotation although I can't think for the life of me which book it's on (one of the later ones I *think*) when Karen asks someone 'Wherefore all that brouhaha?'

Always makes me smile...

Evelyn.

Sadly not one of his James Bond movies - I would've loved the idea of James Bond being a Chalet School fan Laughing .

I love watching him too Wink .
