21st December 2005....
Now in the twilight years of their life they finally make their commitment to each other public.
As Kathie and Nancy stand before the Registrar and made their vows the room, filled with their friends, is silent, their voices, though now hushed through age pronounce their solemn vows.
Despite it’s name, a registration, to them it is a marriage, a declaration of their love. They have seen others marry, divorce, become widows but they remained true to each other.
The register signed the smiled at each other and then, for the first time in all the years they’d been together seal their love with a public kiss. _________________ My mind is made up - I am not sure what it is made up of but apparently it's made up

A certain edge when she spoke of Mrs Maynard, certainly, but, after all, not everyone could love Joey.

I find I need to apologise profusely - I honestly didn't see this before I wrote mine about Hilda and Nell! _________________ It may be just a drop in the ocean, but the ocean is made up of drops. |

This was the ONE that did make me cry. Thank you, Kate, beautifully done and long overdue. |
