Matey opened the door and stood transfixed at what she saw.
Hilda Annersley, usually so careful, had left her latest mauscript lying on her desk. Matey swiftly moved over, picked it up and rammed the whole thing into one of her vast apron pockets, hurrying from the room in case she was caught. She made her way to her own room, and sprawled on the bed comfortably, idly glancing at the first page of the manuscript.

"The Passions of Mathilde

by

Hilda Annersley

Chapter One: Mathilde Goes to School

Mathilde looked at herself in the mirror. Horrible school uniform she thought savagely. Beastly brown tunic, horrible orange tie. How could her guardians have decided to send her to boarding school. Wasn't it bad enough that her parents had died on an expedition up the amazon? Now she had to leave everything she was familiar with and go to a horrid new school, in a country she had never seen, with beastly people she was bound to hate.

Two hours later, Mathilde found herself seated in a train cariage, surrounded by girls she knew she was going to have absolutely nothing in common with. Of course, Mathilde knew in her heart of hearts just why her guardian had chosen this school for her. The strong religious affiliations of the school, the single sex environment, the strict rules and regulations. All the things her guardian was certain Mathilde needed to curb her passionate nature.

As the train drew into the platform of the French Alpine village, Mathilde looked about her curiously. Her attention was drawn by the sight that met her eyes. The most handsome man Mathilde had ever seen was stood on the platform, assisting smeone from the train. As Mathilde watched, the man turned, catching sight of Mathilde looking at him, he gave her a small sardonic smile and raised his hat. Mathilde found herself blushing furiously, and was annoyed at hving her feelings so publicly on show.

By the time Mathilde had been at school for two days, she knew exactly who the handsome stranger was, and she also knew that her guardians had been sadly mistaken in their choice of school. Yes, the school had strong religious affiliations, but attendance and participation appeared to be optional. The single sex environment applied only to the lower school. The upper school of which Mathilde found herself was co-educational. And as for the strict rules and regulations, well, Mathilde was rather beginning to enjoy those!

Submission had never featured highly on Mathilde's list of desirble qualities for herseslf. Now, for the first time, Mathilde began to realise just how much power could be wielded by the true submissive. In the past, Mathilde had gone for a more dominant role in her relationships, but now, ah now! Mathilde's face took on a slight smile as she thought of the rules as laid out by her headmistress."

Matey stopped reading, panting for breath and wondering quite why a school story was setting her innards quivering. With a quick glance at her watch, she decided she just had time to scan through a little more before Abendessen. Flicking through the manuscript, Matey found a section that looked particularly well read, judging by the number of inky fingerprints all over the page.

"Mathilde's breath came in short gasps as the stranger took her in his passionate embrace. She couldn't see his face in the dark, but she knew who it was just the same. She trembled as she felt his fingers run through her hair and then down her spine, lingering as they reached her waist. Nervously, she reached up, trying to feel inside his shirt."

Matey quivered some more, then flicked through a few more pages.

"They lay together in the bed, Mathilde gazing up into his face, smiling at the thought of the pleasures of the flesh still to come. With one fluid movement he-"

"Ah Matey, here you are," came Hilda Annersley's vpoice from the doorway. "Are you unwell?" she asked in concern, seeing the beads of sweat on Matey's brow and listening to the rapid breathing.
"I'm- I'm fine," stammered out Matey, attempting to hide the manuscript behind her. Hilda moved over and spotted the sheaf of papers.
"Oh Matey!" Hilda said reproachfully.
"I'm sorry Hilda, I didn't mean to," Matey gasped out.
"Don't apologise," smiled Hilda. "I know what it is to be a woman with needs," she added, kicking shut the bedroom door.

Laughing out loud - good job nearly all my colleagues have gone home for the evening. Your earlier drabble said nothing about Hilda's novel-writing career. I bet Joey would be jealous that she's no longer the only published author associated with the school Wink

All the stories are really good on this board! Is there going to be more of the story? When I was reading the first part, I wondered if it is based on Hilda's school experiences?
